LEGAL
Minor Data Collection & Use Consent
Effective: May 7, 2026
FATE HACKER ("Company") collects and uses personal information of minors under age 14 ("Child") with the explicit consent of their legal guardian ("Guardian") for the purpose of providing child saju (BaZi) analysis. These terms apply to the legal-guardian consent procedure under Article 22-2 of the Korean Personal Information Protection Act and Article 31 of the Network Act.
1. Personal Information Collected
- · Identity: name (or nickname), gender
- · Birth date and time — required for the child's saju chart
- · Birth city — for timezone calibration
- · Analysis results (child saju report, parent-child compatibility)
- · No medical, educational, or financial data of the child is collected.
2. Purpose of Collection & Use
- · Generate the child saju report (5 sections: nature, talent, learning, health, parent-child bond)
- · Provide parent-child compatibility analysis and parenting guidance
- · Store results so the guardian can re-access via My Page
- · Used only within the retention period defined in Article 3.
3. Retention Period
- · Retained while the guardian's account is active
- · Deleted immediately when the guardian deletes the child profile or results (90-day soft delete then hard delete)
- · On guardian account deletion, all child profiles and results are cascade-deleted
- · Payment records retained for 5 years per the Korean E-Commerce Act, with child identifiers anonymized
- · Destroyed without delay upon purpose fulfillment (PIPA Article 21)
4. Guardian Consent Method
- · The guardian must sign in with an authenticated account.
- · Consent is given via an explicit checkbox on the child profile registration screen.
- · The consent timestamp is automatically recorded; no re-consent is required for subsequent analyses.
- · The guardian may withdraw consent any time via My Page (by deleting the child profile).
5. Data Subject (Child)'s Rights
- · The right to access, correct, delete, and suspend processing is exercised by the guardian on behalf of the child (PIPA Articles 35-37).
- · The guardian may directly perform these actions via My Page (edit, delete profile, delete results).
- · If the child reaches 14 and wishes to exercise rights directly, they may contact the Company separately.
7. Enhanced Child-Data Protection
- · Child data is access-controlled by Firestore Security Rules to the parent account (parentUid) only
- · Direct URL access by other users returns 404 (existence is hidden)
- · On share-link generation, the child's name is masked (only character name is shown)
- · AI output is post-processed to block adult keywords (marriage, divorce, death, lifespan, crime, etc.)
- · Deterministic phrasing and medical-diagnostic tone are forbidden
8. Medical / Diagnostic Disclaimer
- · This analysis is parenting reference content and does NOT replace medical, psychological, or educational diagnosis.
- · For child health or developmental concerns, please consult a qualified professional.
- · The Company is not liable for outcomes of parenting, career, or treatment decisions made based on this analysis.
9. Consequences of Refusing Consent
- · This consent is required to use the child saju analysis service.
- · Refusal means the child saju service is unavailable, but the guardian's other services (own saju, compatibility, tarot, etc.) remain unaffected.
10. Changes to These Terms
- · These terms may be updated due to legal or service changes.
- · Material changes are announced 7 days in advance via site notice or notification.
- · If you do not agree, you may signal disagreement by withdrawing membership or deleting the child profile.
Matters not specified herein are governed by the Korean Personal Information Protection Act, the Network Act, the E-Commerce Act, and other relevant laws.
